On Food and Eating

What's so wrong with the girl whose plate is as full as her appetite? Or, she who goes for a second serving or maybe even for a third one?

Are boys the only ones entitled to the gastric satisfaction of second servings, extra rice, and whatnot? Isn't food, especially the good kind, meant to be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their gender, and as long as it won't hinder their health condition?

Why do some people resort to starvation just for the sake of what they think of as beauty, when they have almost every kind of food served right in front of them? Do they still have to be reminded of how those on the other side of the planet perish as they succumb to starvation, simply because they have no choice?

Since when did we have to rely on the dictates of the society to decide upon how we respond to one of our basic needs?
